Frequently Asked Questions

What is the design process like?

Investing in a new front door is an important decision. Door Masters of Texas can visit your property to provide measurements and tell you about all the options. Alternately, you can send us measurements of the door and give us an image of your existing door. Once we have those, we can overlay the new door onto the old one on the image. That way, you’ll have a better idea of what the end result will be.

What are the door’s security features?

The entry doors we install are secure from the elements and break-ins; our glass doors are hurricane rated and we can install Baldwin locks to increase the door’s security. If you would prefer us to use your own handle set, we can install that. We also offer a security package which includes extra-long 3 1/2" screws in each hinge (8 per hinge) for the frame and the door and an extended heavy duty strike plate. This package secures the door to the framing studs on both sides to provide extra protection and security.

Do you offer a warranty on entry doors?

When we stain finish and install, our manufactured doors come with a three year warranty and our handmade doors come with a ten year warranty."

What type of door material works best for an entry door?

While a fiberglass door may be best for energy efficiency, a stained-glass door will certainly impress friends and neighbors. We offer a variety of secure entry doors you can choose from, and we can recommend a door based on your needs and budget. Visit this page for more information.

What kinds of door styles do you offer?

We offer single doors, double doors, doors with two sidelights, and doors with transom. You can also enlist our experts to create a custom door set for your home.
